Now that thanksgiving passed by, I wondered, why do people need a holiday to say what they are thankful for?
What about those other cultures that don’t even have Thanksgiving as a holiday?
Do they say to each other what they are thankful for? - I highly doubt that.
Not even mentioning that with our busy lives these days sometimes we forget to get in touch with our closest ones. I hate it, this whole evolution thing computerizing stuff, people no longer have the full humanity, these days one of our hands is our cell phone, the other our I-pod, the computer is hanging from our shoulder, headphones in the ears. That is why I love the mountains no service, no internet, just pure nature.
This thanksgiving even thought not celebrated with my family, but with a friends family made me realize that I am thankful for who I am, and what I’ve accomplish. But being who I am isn’t entirely depending on me, my parents, the different schools I attended, the freedom that I had, and have made me what I am today I think I will write about it … as long as I manage my mind to run on the same track as my fingers.
Take care; be thankful for what you are. To be thankful you don’t need a Holiday, you just need a smile and a “feel good” attitude.
